Karower Teiche, Berlin

Since I discovered this place on one of my many photo walks in 2013, I wanted to return here.

“Look, we are the kind of women who go on Sunday walks in nature now,” L. says as we walk past the blue lakes in Karow. Black cows graze in the distance, and a couple of donkeys walk with us for a while. I like it here, and I like the kinds of women we have become.

I have been here once before, on a warm August day when this was just a few S-Bahn stops from where I lived.
