Up Up Up in a Hot Air Balloon

Last Saturday, after dinner, a friend asked us on behalf of a friend, if we would want to come on a hot air balloon trip the next day. I was scared, but it was a definite yes. The next day the sun was out, the weather forecast looked good and around noon, after assembling the balloon, we went up in the air. It was the weirdest feeling to leave the ground standing in a tiny wicker basket, being pulled up by this large balloon above us. The view was unreal though and after a while, I got quite relaxed. Time literally flew by and after a little more than 90 minutes our ride ended with a super smooth landing on a hill close to Zurich. Back on earth, I wanted to go back up immediately. One week later, it feels just unreal that this happened. But there are the photos I took to remind me of what will have been one of the best days of 2021.
