Hi, my real name is Katrin, but you may call me Ktinka. This is the digital home of my photography and writing.

About KTINKA
Whether at home in Zurich or travelling, I like to observe my surroundings and capture their essence in pictures and words to tell (visual) stories. Some of these end up on my blog – shorter fragments appear in my monthly newsletter.
A long time ago, somebody said my work "bears witness to a way of looking at life that is often missing: an openness to the strange beauty of the moment". Documenting what I see and feel is also an attempt to freeze and treasure all those fleeting moments.
I travel often. Usually, I come back with a vast collection of places and experiences, which I like to turn into travel guides. I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen and trying out new recipes.
For inspiration, I read a lot and visit exhibitions or museums. I am interested in architecture and design. I go to concerts as much as I can. I like botanical gardens and bodies of water – and since moving to Switzerland, I have become increasingly enamoured with mountains.
