Affogato Amaretto
I discovered this during our stay at Marqi in beautiful Colares. I was sceptic at first since I have never been a big fan of Amaretto, but it is the perfect dessert after a nice lunch or dinner.
I had one of these almost every day we spent at Marqi, it's a bit addictive. The rich almond flavour of the Amaretto and sweet vanilla ice cream combine so wonderfully with the bitterness of the coffee.
The recipe is super straightforward, perfect for a quick dessert when you have guests over for dinner.
Ingredients
1 double shot espresso
2cl Amaretto
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Method
Place the ice cream in a coffee cup or small bowl.
Pour over the espresso and amaretto.
Enjoy!
